Weight Regain & Hormone Regulation

Maintaining weight loss is always a challenge, but we are here to help!

Some patients may regain weight after losing it even when they are working hard to keep it off. There are several factors responsible for weight regain after weight loss. Hormone regulation is one such factor.

Did you know our body weight is regulated by hormones from the GI tract, pancreas, and adipose tissue? When we reduce our body weight, it triggers an adaptive mechanism in our bodies that prevents starvation. Even when someone is overweight, the body perceives weight loss as starvation and vigorously defends against weight loss as a survival mechanism.

Attend our Support Group Session via Google Meet to learn more about hormone regulation and weight regain.
